In the latest episode of New Gameplay Today Brian Shea and Kyle Hilliard take a look at a montage of gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Cal Kestis gets nearly eaten by a Rancor, starts a garden with his pal BD-1, and tries to track down his other pal, Greez Dritus. He also gets into all kinds of lightsaber battles with robot and animal foes.

The footage has Cal in the world of Koboh which is said to be the new home base for Cal in the game. While we expect a lot of the story to happen in all other kinds of planets, Koboh itself is also revealed to have all these other kinds of challenges, including Clone Wars-era droids, and a freaking Rancor.

Though Cal only had two saber stances in the first game, he’s going to be getting a total of five in Survivor. His dual-wield saber stance is showcased in the video, but we have yet to see the two new stances; one of which works with a blaster, and the other being a crossguard stance which uses a longer blade and plays like a giant anime weapon.

Here’s the official description of the game

The dark times are closing in as Cal Kestis seeks out a safe haven far from the reach of the Empire. Follow Cal and his crew’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness.

Picking up five years after the events of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™, Jedi: Survivor is a third person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 28.
