Three bombsites make defensive setups tricky on Lotus.
Lotus may be VALORANT’s newest map, but players and teams already have the map figured out – A-site control is paramount to winning games on the three-bombsite map. This is due to the breakable door at A-Link that opens up flanking lanes toward B-site.
However, this doesn’t mean teams will be spamming default setups on Lotus A-site. There are many other options for attacking B-site or C-site on Lotus, which means you’ll still need to communicate with your team to develop sound defensive setups to win on the defending side on the map.
One thing is for sure – gaining early information on enemy team positions right at the round start will ensure your team gets the upper hand on Lotus.
With this in mind, we have compiled some of the best Fade Lineups for the defending side on Lotus in this guide.
Lotus A-site Fade Lineups
Playing defense on Lotus is arguably more difficult than attacking the map. There are no less than three bomb sites on the map, forcing the defending team to spread out thin across each of the bomb sites. This naturally gives the attacking team the advantage, as there are fewer defenders per bombsite to deal with at any given time.
The key to winning on Lotus is winning A-site, particularly the A-Rubble/A-Main area. This space gives the attacking team access to two alternative lanes – A-Link and A-Tree. The former leads to B-site, and the latter lead to A-site.
When playing Fade on Lotus A-site, you must use your kit to gain early information on enemy positions around the A-Root/A-Rubble area. This will give your team an early head count on the attacking team, allowing you to approximate the enemy team’s position on the map and strategize accordingly.

Lotus B-site Fade Lineups
Ideally, you’ll be better off playing A-site or C-site as Fade on Lotus and leaving B-site defense duty to your Sentinel teammates. You need to use your Haunt ability to spot enemies on A-site to get a hint of whether the enemy team decides to split toward B-site.
That said, you can easily set up your Haunt ability to reveal enemy team players on B-site right at round start.

Lotus C-site Fade Lineups
C-site is arguably easier to defend than B-site or A-site on Lotus. C-site is naturally Defender-friendly, as there is only one lane that the Attacking team can use to enter the bomb site. The same lane is a narrow chokepoint that you can easily choke with Fade’s Seize and Prowlers.
A simple Haunt lineup for C-Lobby should give you an early headcount on Attacking team players making their way to C-site.

3. JUMPTHROW Fade’s Haunt:
When done properly, Fade’s Haunt should land outside the C-Hall window. This Haunt lineup will reveal all of C-site and be useful on a retake.
Haunting Defense
Fade’s Haunt brings a ton of value when playing defense on Lotus, as Haunt can be set up to instantly spot enemies around important areas on the map, allowing Fade and her team to switch strategies accordingly.
Add the Haunt lineups featured in this guide to your bag of Haunt lineups for defense on Lotus, and you’ll be on your way to securing your team’s victory on the triple bombsite map.
