Hideo Kojima has somehow managed to get some top-notch talent to appear in his projects with Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and even director Guillermo del Toro appearing in the first Death Stranding. Now fans are speculating that Kojima has cast Arcane star Ella Purnell in the game.
On Twitter, Kojima shares a post with him beside Purnell. Check this out:
We don’t have any official details of Purnell’s involvement besides Kojima’s post, but it’s possible she could be attached, either as a main player, or even just as a cameo appearance. I would definitely love it if her role as Jinx was referenced in some way, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Besides playing Jinx, Purnell also appeared in series like Yellowjackets as well as Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead.
For now, it looks like Death Stranding 2 is still deep into production. We don’t know exactly what to expect from the game, but some are speculating that the spotlight could be moved from Sam Bridges to the new character played by Elle Fanning.
Until we get some more details, all fans can really do is guess; but I’m sure that there are some fans hoping that Kojima would dial down on the meta/artsy elements of the game. Though Death Stranding was considered an achievement, a lot of fans thought the game was pretty exhausting to repeat, despite Kojima’s intent shining through.
